Seeking Solutions for Electrical Issues and Non-responsive Navigation System in 2017 VW TRoc

Navigationssystem is not working

General electric malfunction

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey! I'm having a bit of a head-scratcher with my 2017 Gasoline VW TRoc. It's giving me some weird signals, like general electric malfunctions and a non-responsive navigation system. There's also a pesky warning light up on the speedometer. My hunch is that this could be because of some incorrect coding. Has anyone experienced something similar or got a scoop on how to tackle this? Would really appreciate hearing your stories this got fixed at your workshops. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my trusty 2015 VW Golf Variant a couple of years ago. Out of nowhere, I started noticing electrical problems and on board systems acting both funky and being non-responsive. I have some experience with cars, so I wasn't completely lost, but this stuff was puzzling! So, after toughing it out a bit and doing some basic checks myself, I ended up at my local workshop. They ran a full diagnostic and the verdict was a "Control unit faulty". To get it fixed, I had to shell out 1000€, which was a bit of a bummer. Can you tell me a bit more about your car's condition and any specific errors you're getting? Did a warning light pop up and if so, what did the message say? I hope this info helps and fingers crossed we can get your TRoc in tip-top shape again! Cheers!

Hey! I appreciate the response! It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one. A bit about my car's condition – it's got only 22581 KM on the clock and I've been regular with servicing, the latest being just a month ago. About specific errors, there's a persistent warning light on the speedometer but there's no specific message that's popping up. I reckon I'll need to hit up my local workshop like you did. Spending those big Euro, though, that's gonna sting, but hey, if it gets my TRoc back to normal, it's worth it. Cheers for the help!

Hey again! Your TRoc's condition, given its limited kms and regular servicing, does make this a bit of a mystery. Look, in my past experience, a generic warning light on the dashboard without a specific error message could still point to a variety of issues. However, considering the malfunctions you've mentioned, a faulty control unit could be a potential cause, as it communicates with almost every bit of tech in your car. I'd suggest definitely getting a full diagnostic at your workshop. It might seem like a nuisance, and definitely not kind to the wallet, but it's the best foolproof way to pinpoint what's bugging your VW. Just cross your fingers, tough it out and hopefully, they'll have some good news for you. Best of luck and keep us posted!

Cheers, again for the detailed advice! You might be right, a complex situation requires a thorough solution. I'll get onto booking a full diagnostic with my local workshop first thing tomorrow. While I'm not looking forward to splashing out the bickies, I'm hopeful it'll help identify the boogie and get my TRoc running as smooth as a baby's bum. I'll be sure to keep you and the gang posted on what comes of it. Thanks for the luck and right back at you! Catch you later!
