Seeking Solutions for Electrical Issues and Non-responsive Navigation System in 2017 VW TRoc

Hey! I'm having a bit of a head-scratcher with my 2017 Gasoline VW TRoc. It's giving me some weird signals, like general electric malfunctions and a non-responsive navigation system. There's also a pesky warning light up on the speedometer. My hunch is that this could be because of some incorrect coding. Has anyone experienced something similar or got a scoop on how to tackle this? Would really appreciate hearing your stories this got fixed at your workshops. Thanks in advance!

Hello Fonzi, To perform a basic power trunk adjustment on your 2019 T-Roc, follow these steps: 1. Open the trunk using the button on your key fob or the button located on the trunk itself. 2. Manually adjust the trunk to your desired height. 3. Once you've set the height, press and hold the trunk button (located on the trunk) until you hear a beep. This indicates that the new height has been set. Remember, the power trunk is designed to stop if it encounters resistance while closing to prevent injury or damage. If you're having issues with the trunk not staying at the set height, it could be a sign of a problem with the power trunk mechanism. In this case, I would recommend having it checked by a professional mechanic. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thank you for your reply, but I know this procedure and applied it after the cylinder was replaced by my mechanic. Despite this, the trunk only opens to about 1/4 of the full opening. Is it not possible to carry out the basic adjustment using the Carly app? Do I have to go to a dealer and plug in the VW diagnostic device to fix the problem?

Hi Fonzi, if the basic adjustment procedure isn't working and the trunk is only opening to about 1/4 of the full opening, it could be an issue with the power trunk mechanism or the new cylinder. While the Carly app offers a range of diagnostic and customization features, it may not be able to resolve this specific issue. I would recommend taking your T-Roc to a professional mechanic or your local VW dealer for a thorough inspection. They have specialized diagnostic tools that can accurately identify and fix the problem. Please keep us updated on your progress. Do you have any other questions?

What is CAN GETAWAY how i can fix it

The CAN Gateway (or CAN Gateway module) is a crucial component in your vehicle's network system, acting as a communication hub between different electronic control units (ECUs). If you're experiencing issues with the CAN Gateway, it can lead to various electrical problems in your car. To address potential issues with the CAN Gateway, start with these steps: 1. **Check for Fault Codes**: Use a diagnostic tool to scan for any fault codes related to the CAN Gateway. This can provide specific information about what's wrong. 2. **Inspect Connections**: Ensure that all connectors and wiring to the CAN Gateway are secure and free from corrosion or damage. 3. **Software Update**: Sometimes, a software update can resolve issues with the CAN Gateway. Check with your dealer if there's an update available for your vehicle. If these steps don't resolve the issue, it's advisable to consult a professional mechanic or visit your dealership for a more in-depth diagnosis. Let me know if you have any further questions!
