Seeking Troubleshooting Suggestions for Warning Lights Issue in 2012 Dacia Sandero

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Error in the lighting

Hey! I'm having a strange issue with my 2012 Dacia Sandero. Recently, some warning lights on my speedometer lit up and the overall lighting seems off. I suspect a faulty bulb might be causing this. Anybody experienced something similar or got ideas how to troubleshoot this thing? I'd love to hear your workshop stories and how you got it sorted out. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Hey! Had a similar fuss with my 2011 Dacia Logan. I'm no top-notch car guru, just got some experience from tinkering my own car. Took it to my local garage when lights started playing tricks. Turned out, it was a dodgy cable connection to the lamp which made a €180 dent in my wallet to get things back to normal. Might be something similar affecting your Sandero. Could you share more about your vehicle, like the mileage and when you had the last service? It will help me provide more precise information. Cheers!

Hey there! Thanks for the reply, hope the Logan's treating you well after that sparky affair! To answer your question, my Sandero's clocked up 71521 KM, and the last service was about 3 months ago. Didn't face any major issues till now, so this lighting glitch is really a head-scratcher. Btw, €180 is a bit of a punch, innit? I hope mine gets sorted with less fuss! Cheers!

Hey there! Well, had some adventures with the Logan but we're best mates now, aren't we? On to your ride! Given the details, I reckon it's unlikely that simple mileage or recent servicing is the culprit here. These light issues can be a right bother, can't they? It could well be as simple as a bulb on its way out (though, usually, they either work or they don't), a loose connection like in my case, blown fuse, or a dodgy switch. If you’re comfy with checking the trivial stuff, you might replace the blown fuses and bulbs (if any). Else, it's probably wise to have it checked at a professional garage. Also, just to point out, the €180 I spent included some extra repairs and fine-tuning, not just the cable issues. Chances are, yours would cost a bit less, knocking on wood! Besides, it's reassuring to have it examined by someone who knows what they're doing. Keep us posted on how it goes! All the best!

Hey, thanks for the detailed advice! Not very comfortable with DIY car projects, but reckon I might go down that route just to check if it's something trivial like a blown bulb or fuse before I head off to the garage. Yep, fully agree, nothing beats the assurance of a professional's touch. And, ah, glad to hear that the €180 included more than just the cable fix. Makes me feel a bit better about my situation! Will surely keep you updated. Off to pop the hood now, wish me luck! Cheers!
