Seicento AC and Temp Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Fiat Seicento is experiencing an issue where the error light is on, a message appears on the dashboard, and the air conditioning won't activate. The problem is suspected to be related to the temperature sensor on the heat exchanger. A similar issue in another vehicle was caused by a defective air conditioning control unit, leading to sensor malfunctions. It is suggested to check the error memory and consider a professional diagnosis to accurately identify and resolve the issue.

Yeah, error's stored for the temp sensor. But could a faulty AC unit really mess with the temp sensor like that?

In my case, a faulty AC unit led to all sorts of seemingly unrelated sensor errors. It's like a domino effect. Given the error code and symptoms, it might be worth getting a professional diagnosis. Could save you a headache down the line.

Cheers. Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop.

Sounds frustrating. I had something similar with my old Opel Astra. The air conditioning control unit was defective, which caused all sorts of sensor malfunctions and weird readings. Have you checked the error memory? It's like a black box for your car.
