Seicento fuel level sensor fault

Thank you for your response. The fuel gauge does appear to be showing incorrect values. Could you please tell me if you were able to fix this by yourself?

Yeah, the dodgy readings confirm it. Nah, I didn't manage to sort it myself; car electronics are like black magic to me. In the end I had to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They replaced the sensor in no time.

I appreciate the information. I had the fuel level sensor replaced at a workshop; the repair cost 52€. The fault has now been resolved.

Fuel level sensor issues, huh? Sounds familiar. I've got a Seicento as well, and had similar symptoms a while back. Check engine light on, rough idling... Could you tell me if the fuel gauge is also acting weird? Is it showing erratic readings, or is it stuck?
