Could you elaborate on the specifics of the error you encountered? Was it identical to the symptoms I described, namely the error message in the speedometer, the error stored in the error memory, the failure of various systems, and the warning light? Also, could you provide more information regarding the location of the obstruction you discovered?

Yeah, pretty much the same deal. Error message, warning light, the whole shebang. I didn't dig too deep myself, tbh. I just took it to a workshop, and they sorted it out. Might be the easiest route for you too.

Following your advice, I inspected the sensor more closely and found it obscured by accumulated road grime. Cleaning the sensor fixed it, and the adaptive cruise control is working again. It only cost 45€ for the cleaning supplies. Thanks for your time.

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen on my Seicento. An error came up, and the adaptive cruise was totally shot. I'm no expert, but have you checked if something's blocking the sensor? Like dirt or snow?
