Yes, auto recirculation does seem to be affected. Where exactly is the cabin air sensor located?

It's related to the HVAC system, near the blower. Honestly, I didn't troubleshoot it myself beyond confirming the symptoms. Given the integrated systems, and potential for misdiagnosis with modern vehicles, I took it to a workshop. Saved me time and potential headaches. If you are not experienced with HVAC systems in hybrid cars, that's probably the best course of action for this type of issues.

Thank you for confirming. I appreciate the cautious advice. I have followed your advice and had the air quality sensor replaced by a professional. The repair cost was 95€, as you mentioned. The issue is now resolved.

I have a Sequoia as well. Had something similar happen. Does it possibly seem like the auto recirculation isn't working either? Could be the cabin air sensor; that's what my issue turned out to be. A defective cable or plug connection may be the reason.
