Sequoia Radio Issues

I'm experiencing radio issues with my 2022 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid. It has 96381 km on the clock. I keep getting an error message in the infotainment system, and the audio system cuts out completely. There's also an error stored in the memory related to antenna signal. I suspect it might be a defective antenna. Has anyone else had similar problems?

I also own a Toyota Sequoia, though I am not sure about its build year. I had a similar issue with poor radio reception. Do you by any chance hear static noise, especially when driving in areas with tall buildings or dense trees?

Yes, the static noise is definitely present sometimes. I was considering an antenna booster or signal amplifier. Did the static get worse before the error message appeared? What did you do to fix it in the end?

I did experience increased static before the complete signal loss. Given the error messages you’re seeing and the static you’re hearing, alongside the error stored in the memory, it seems like the antenna is indeed faulty. I would recommend that you visit a qualified workshop to get the vehicle electronics checked properly. It could be the antenna itself, the wiring or the connection to the infotainment system.

Thanks for confirming. I appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop and they found that the antenna was indeed defective. They replaced it, and it cost me 255€. Radio reception is now perfect.
