Siena AC Failure
Summary of the thread
The AC in a 2001 Fiat Siena diesel is not cooling or turning on, accompanied by a warning light. The issue is suspected to be the AC control unit. A similar problem in another vehicle was resolved by replacing the climate control module. The recommended solution is to have a certified technician replace the faulty control unit and recharge the system, which successfully resolved the issue.

I didn't hear any weird noises from the compressor. Did you replace the control module yourself or use a shop?

I used a qualified technician because AC systems are complex and need special equipment. Also, refrigerants can be dangerous. The tech confirmed it was the module, replaced it, and recharged the system. I'd recommend a good shop that knows HVAC systems to avoid problems.

Thanks for the help. I went to a certified technician, and they also said it was the AC control unit. They replaced it and recharged the system, and it's fixed. Thanks again.

Sounds like what happened with my 2012 Opel Astra. AC failure, error codes, warning lights. For me, it was a bad climate control module that controls the compressor. Did you hear any weird noises from the compressor before it died?
