Siena central locking failure
Summary of the thread
The central locking system on a 2004 Fiat Siena has stopped working, both remotely and manually, with an error stored. The issue is suspected to be a bad cable or plug connection. A similar problem was resolved by checking the wiring harness for brittle or broken wires, and ultimately, a shop identified a defective cable or plug as the cause. Taking the car to a professional for diagnosis and repair is recommended.

Thanks, I looked at the harness, and it seemed okay. Do you remember the error code you got when you had this?

I don't remember the exact code. I tried fixing it myself, but I ended up taking it to a shop. They found a defective cable or plug connection. I'd recommend doing that, since you think that's the problem.

Okay, thanks for confirming and the advice. I'll take it to a shop to get it checked. That's what I figured. The repair was 95€ in the end.

I had something similar with my Siena. Check the wiring harness where it goes from the body to the door. The wires get brittle and break from bending. Did you scan for error codes related to the central locking? That might help.
