Siena mirror heating issue
Summary of the thread
The 2012 Fiat Siena's mirror heating issue was initially suspected to be related to fuses or relays, but these were ruled out. The problem was likely due to a defective cable or plug connection, a common issue with this model. The recommended solution was to have a professional workshop diagnose and fix the problem, which was confirmed to be a dodgy connection, resolved for a cost of 95€.

Fuses and relays are fine, checked them first. No recent work either. You reckon it's definitely a wiring issue then? Is there a common point of failure I should be looking for specifically on the Siena?

Based on your symptoms and the error codes, a defective cable or plug connection is the most likely culprit. I chased my tail for ages trying to find it myself. Honestly, save yourself the headache and take it to a workshop. The cost to fix the mirror heating was around 95€ in my case, so I think it's reasonable.

I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it sounds like the smart move. I'll get it booked in. Turns out, it was exactly what you said - a dodgy connection. The workshop fixed it for 95€, and now my mirrors are toasty again! Thanks a lot!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Siena. First, did you check the basics like the fuses and relays for the mirror heating circuit? Also, have you had any work done recently that might have disturbed the wiring to the mirrors? Could be a dodgy connection.
