Siena Stalling Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Fiat Siena diesel is experiencing stalling issues at idle, accompanied by a persistent check engine light. The problem is suspected to be related to a malfunctioning tank ventilation valve, potentially involving the EVAP system or a faulty pressure sensor. A similar case suggested that clogged hoses near the fuel tank could be the cause, and a professional mechanic's intervention was recommended for resolution.

The check engine light is always on. Are the hoses you mentioned near the fuel tank, or are there others to inspect? Is there a test to confirm blockages, or is it a visual assessment? Could it be a pressure sensor failure?

Yes, I'm referring to the hoses around the fuel tank area. Trying to diagnose it yourself is difficult. In my case, it was clogged hoses. I eventually took it to a workshop. Best 175€ I ever spent!

It seems my Siena is destined for the mechanic. Clogged hoses it is! I'll relay this to the professionals and hope for a swift resolution. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!

I had a similar experience with my Siena. Engine light on, stalling at stoplights. Have you looked at the hoses connected to the ventilation valve? They're notorious for getting clogged. Is the check engine light always on or just intermittent?
