Sienna AC Not Cooling

My 2017 Toyota Sienna with a gasoline engine, about 181769 km on it, has an AC problem. It stopped cooling, and the system doesn't switch on. I checked the AC relay and blower motor, but they're fine. Could it be a valve issue?

I have a Sienna too. I had a similar problem last summer. Have you checked the refrigerant level? Sometimes a leak can cause the system to shut down.

Thanks! I haven't checked the refrigerant level myself, as I'm not sure how to do it safely. Was that the only symptom you experienced before checking the refrigerant level or did you notice anything else?

Yeah, the only thing I noticed was that it just stopped blowing cold air, just like you described. I tried to refill it myself, but it didn't work. Eventually, I took it to a workshop. They said it was a faulty valve and they charged me around 1000€ to fix it.

Thanks so much for sharing! It sounds like I'm heading down the same road. I'll take it to a trusted local workshop and have them check the refrigerant level and the valves. Hopefully, it won't cost me too much. Appreciate the help!
