Thank you for your response. Where are the electric actuator and cable release located, precisely? I aim to diagnose the problem before seeking professional assistance.

In my case, the electric actuator was indeed the culprit; however, accessing and diagnosing it proved challenging without specialized tools. Given the stored error codes and the potential complexity, I recommend consulting a qualified workshop. It might save you time and prevent further complications. I also had multiple systems failing, which made me think it would be better to go to the shop.

Thank you for the advice. I took the Sienna to a reputable workshop today. As predicted, it was the electric actuator that malfunctioned, as well as some linkage issues. The repair cost was 210€ Thank you again.

I had a similar issue with my Sienna. Have you checked the key fob? Sometimes a weak battery can cause intermittent issues with the electric actuator. It might also be worth investigating the cable release mechanism, if your model has one, to ensure it's not stuck or broken. I hope that helps.
