Skoda Citigo e iV Climate Control Problem

I'm having a problem with my 2020 Skoda Citigo-e iV. The automatic climate control has stopped working. The AC won't switch on, and there's an error pointing to the interior temperature sensor. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced climate issues like this? Before I start taking the dashboard apart for sensor checks, I wanted to see if this sounds familiar.

Summary of the thread

The 2020 Skoda Citigo-e iV faced an issue where the automatic climate control stopped working, with the AC not turning on and an error indicating a problem with the interior temperature sensor. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by checking for loose connections, and it was suggested to either fix it personally or consult a workshop for proper diagnosis. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a bad connector on the temperature sensor, which was fixed for 95€.

That's strange! I had similar climate issues with my Citigo, though not the electric one. The automatic temperature control was acting up. I'd suggest looking closely at the sensor itself. The temperature reading might be off. Have you checked the sensor connections? It could be a sensor issue there.

Interesting! When you say 'similar', do you mean the AC just wouldn't turn on at all? Because that's exactly what's happening. The error code points to the interior temperature sensor, but I'm wondering if it's worth taking the dash apart myself, or if it's just a bad connector somewhere. Did you find any loose connections when you checked yours?

Yes, the AC was completely dead, just like yours. And yes, it turned out to be a loose connection. I'm not saying you can't fix it yourself, but getting to the sensor is a pain. If you're not confident, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. It will save you the frustration, especially with those difficult connectors. They might have the right tools to properly diagnose it if it is not just a faulty wire.

Closing this out for anyone interested. It was, as suspected, a bad connector on the temperature sensor. 95€ later and it's all fixed! Thanks for sharing your experience, it saved me a lot of time trying to diagnose the sensor!
