Wiring harness, you say? Where exactly should I be looking, and what kind of damage am I looking for? Is it something easily visible, or do I need to get my hands dirty?

I didn't dig too deep myself. I just noticed some corrosion on one of the connectors going into the door. But honestly, it's probably best to have a mechanic give it a proper look. Could be a pain to diagnose a sensor issue without the right tools.

I took it to the workshop and they confirmed a wiring fault in the door mechanism. They replaced the defective cable and plug connection. The door actuator now works as it should. Repair cost me 95€.

Sounds like a similar issue I had with my Renault Megane. The keyless entry stopped working, and the error memory also showed a fault. Could be a door sensor issue. Have you checked the wiring harness for any damage?
