Skoda Citigo heating problem

I am experiencing a rather perplexing issue with my 2013 Skoda Citigo, equipped with a gasoline engine. The heating output is significantly lower than expected, and I've noticed excessive windshield fogging. Upon conducting a diagnostic scan, an error related to the defrost air distribution flap was stored in the error memory. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Could this be the culprit? Has anyone encountered a similar problem with the temperature regulation in their Citigo?

Oh man, I think I had something similar with my Citigo. My windshield was constantly fogging up, and the climate control seemed possessed! Is your heater core okay? I initially suspected that, but it turned out to be a simple connection issue behind the dashboard panel.

Behind the dashboard panel, you say? Was it difficult to access? Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you have to take it somewhere?

Yeah, behind the dash. I didn't dare to touch it myself, because I was afraid of breaking something. I'm no mechanic! Took it to a workshop. They said it's a pretty common issue. Probably best to let a professional have a look, you don't want to mess up your dashboard panel.

Took it to a trusted mechanic and you were spot on. It was indeed a faulty connection to the air distribution flap. They sorted it out, cleared the error, and now the heating works perfectly. Total cost was 95€ Thanks a lot for your help!
