Skoda Citigo Lighting Fault

My 2014 Skoda Citigo with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. Mileage is at 205564 km. The car lighting is faulty. Sometimes the lights just switch on. I get an error stored in the error memory, but I have no idea what's causing it. I checked the fuse box, and all fuses seem ok. Could it be a bad car switch or something? What else could it even be?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Citigo. Did you check the dimmer switch for the dashboard lights? It might be faulty or have a loose connection. Have you had any luck with that?

Dimmer switch? Where is that located? Is it difficult to get to? I haven't touched it, but could that really cause all the lights to act up?

Yes, that was exactly my problem. The dashboard lights would flicker and sometimes go out completely. The workshop identified it as a faulty cable or plug connection. It's probably best to get it checked out professionally.

Thanks for the confirmation. I went to a workshop, and they found a defective plug connection. They replaced it, and the lights are working properly now. Cost me 95€. Appreciate the help!
