Skoda Fabia Car Alarm Problems

I'm going nuts here. My 2002 Skoda Fabia with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The car alarm keeps throwing errors and doesn't work at all. The computer says it's a security alarm issue, something about the alarm system. Mileage is 175669 km. Has anyone seen this before? Could it be the immobilizer?

I had something similar with my Fabia. The car alarm would just go off randomly. Have you checked the alarm control module? That's where my issue was.

Yeah, mine was also throwing error codes related to the alarm system. It turns out, the alarm system was coded to activate the indicators when locking, and that was causing the problem. I would suggest visiting a workshop.

It was exactly that. Alarm system coded to activate optical locking. 45€ at the workshop and it's sorted. Thanks again.
