Thank you for the advice. Where is the purge valve located? Is it difficult to check it? I do not have much experience with car repairs.

The purge valve is usually located near the engine, often close to the intake manifold. Given the symptoms and your limited experience, a defective activated charcoal filter is a likely cause. It may be best to have a workshop inspect it, as it requires specialized tools to diagnose properly.

Thank you for your help. As you suggested, I took my Fabia to a workshop. They confirmed a leak in the fuel tank ventilation system, and the defective activated charcoal filter was the reason for the check engine light and engine stalling. The repair cost was 275€, but now it is all working properly.

I also have a Skoda Fabia, though a slightly different model. I experienced a similar problem with the check engine light and occasional engine stalls. It could be related to the fuel tank ventilation system. Have you checked the purge valve or the fuel tank pressure sensor?
