Skoda Fabia Diesel Fuel Filter Heater Error

I've got a 2018 Skoda Fabia diesel. I'm getting a fuel filter heater error. Engine power is down, response is sluggish, fuel consumption is terrible, and the idle is rough. I suspect it's the cable or plug connection. Anyone else seen this?

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia, also a diesel. Rough idle and bad fuel consumption. Have you checked the fuel line for blockages or leaks? Could be an easy fix.

Fuel line blockages, huh? Where should I look, and what am I looking for? Any common problem areas?

My Octavia had similar symptoms. It was a corroded connector on the fuel filter itself. I'd suggest getting it checked at a shop; they can diagnose it properly and make sure everything's connected right.

Turns out it was the cable/plug connection to the fuel filter heater, like I thought. Cost 95€ and it's running great now. Thanks for the help!
