Skoda Fabia Sensor Issue

Has anyone had a similar sensor failure on a 2002 Skoda Fabia with a gasoline engine? The radar sensor isn't working, there's a speedometer error message, a stored error memory entry, and some vehicle systems are affected. The speedometer warning light is also on. I'm guessing the sensor is dirty.

I remember a similar sensor failure with my old Volvo V70. The error messages were worrying. Have you done a diagnostic scan to find the specific fault code? It might give you a better idea of what's wrong with the sensor. Maybe the sensor is just blocked or if it's an electrical problem.

In my case, with the Volvo, the first thought was it might be an electrical fault. But, after checking it closely, it was just road debris blocking the sensor. Because it can affect driving assistance and other safety features, you might want to get it checked by a professional.

Acknowledged. After cleaning the sensor externally, the system works. Total cost: 45€.
