Skoda Fabia Washer Heater Problem

I'm experiencing an issue with the windshield washer heater on my 2018 Skoda Fabia diesel. The error memory stores a fault related to the washer heater, and the spray nozzles freeze up in cold temperatures. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. I've checked the washer motor, and it seems to be functioning correctly. I'm trying to avoid just throwing parts at it. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a PITA. Had a similar issue with my old BMW, although it was the rear window washer. Washer motor was fine, but the nozzles were clogged solid and the error memory was full of codes. Check the simple stuff first, like the connections to the washer heater itself. Could save you some serious coin.

Thanks for the tip! When you say check the connections, is there anything specific I should be looking for? Any telltale signs of a bad connection, besides the obvious loose plug?

Look for corrosion on the contacts, or maybe a wire that's partially broken where it enters the plug. A multimeter is your friend here. But honestly, chasing electrical gremlins can be a major time sink. If you're not comfortable, just bite the bullet and take it to a shop. 95€ isn't too bad for peace of mind.

Took it to the workshop and they confirmed a defective connection as suspected. They replaced the faulty cable/plug, and the washer heater is working again. The bill came to 95€, thanks for the advice.
