That's interesting. When you say 'erratically', do you mean triggering false alarms, or something similar to what I'm experiencing, a completely non-functional alarm?

In my case, the alarm was completely inactive, exactly as you describe, not just generating false alarms. While it could be something else, a weak battery can definitely interfere with the alarm control module. If the battery checks out, I would advise a visit to a workshop with diagnostic capabilities to properly read and interpret the error code.

The problem is resolved. The alarm system was incorrectly coded for optical locking confirmation. A quick recoding at the workshop cost 45€ and fixed it. Thanks for the help!

I also have a Skoda Kamiq and had a similar issue with the car alarm. Have you checked the car battery's voltage? A weak battery can cause the alarm system to act erratically.
