Good shout. I haven't checked the charging. Where did you measure the voltage exactly? And what voltage were you expecting?

I measured directly at the auxiliary battery terminals. Should be seeing around 13.5-14.5V with the engine running if the alternator's doing its job. If it's significantly lower, or the same as the battery's resting voltage, it's not charging. Honestly, though, with those symptoms, it's probably just battery failure. Might be worth just going to a workshop and having them test it properly to avoid chasing ghosts.

Appreciate the insight. Issue resolved. The auxiliary battery was indeed the culprit. Battery replacement at 290€ fixed it. Power management seems happy now.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Skoda Kamiq. Same error messages, sluggish starts. First thing I'd check is whether the auxiliary battery is actually getting charged. Have you put a multimeter on it while the engine's running?
