A vacuum leak? I haven't checked that. Where should I look for this leak? Can I easily spot it?

It's tricky to pinpoint a leak without proper diagnostics. I suspected the EGR valve might affect the emissions test. I didn't find any obvious leaks and took it to a workshop. They confirmed the EGR valve needed replacing. It's probably best to get it checked by a professional.

It was the EGR valve. Replacement cost 355€. The car runs smoothly now. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like the issue I had with my Kamiq. I also noticed a power loss and the check engine light was on. Have you checked for a vacuum leak around the EGR valve? That could be contributing to the problem, especially with diesel engines.
