Skoda Kamiq Diesel Engine Running Lean

I'm getting seriously annoyed. My 2021 Skoda Kamiq diesel is giving me grief. 151995 km on the clock and the engine's running way too lean. Getting reduced engine power, the check engine light is on, rough running, and it's jerking when I accelerate. I've cleaned the mass air flow sensor, and I'm thinking it might be the injection valve or a defective fuel injector. I'm pulling my hair out here. Any ideas before I start throwing money at it? Already checked the catalytic converter and EGR valve, spark plugs are fine.

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my Kamiq. Check engine light, rough running, and a noticeable drop in power. Has anyone checked the fuel injectors?

Fuel injectors, huh? Interesting. Was it obvious that they were the problem, or were there other things you checked first?

Well, I initially suspected the same things you did, like the mass air flow sensor. But the issue persisted. Eventually, the diagnostic pointed directly to one of the fuel injectors malfunctioning. If you're experiencing similar symptoms after checking the usual suspects, I'd recommend getting the injectors properly tested. Could save you some time and frustration to get it checked out by a workshop.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. It was indeed a defective fuel injector! Got it replaced, cost me 515€. Runs like new now, what a relief!
