Skoda Kamiq Engine Issues

Alright, I'm officially pulling my hair out. My 2019 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. The engine just won't start sometimes, or it stalls when idling, and the check engine light is mocking me from the dashboard. It's running rough, and I swear the fuel consumption is higher than usual. I suspect a fuel pump failure. I've read that a possible cause can be a cable or plug connection of the component defective. Anyone experienced something similar? An error is stored in the error memory.

Big thanks for your input! Turns out, you were spot on about the connections. The car mechanics at the workshop checked the fuel pump and the wiring. Found a loose plug connection, just like you thought. They fixed it, and the Kamiq runs like new again. Total cost 95€ – a lot better than a new fuel pump! Appreciate the help!
