Skoda Kamiq Headlight Range Control Problem

My 2022 Skoda Kamiq with a diesel engine is giving me grief. I've got 121283 km on the clock and the headlight range control is malfunctioning. There's an error stored in the error memory, and a warning light is illuminated on the speedometer. The low beams are shining either too far down or too far up. I suspect a defective servomotor in the headlight is the culprit, but before I start tearing things apart, has anyone else experienced this?

Headlight range control fault, eh? Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Kamiq. Was the warning light constantly on? Did you check the electrical connectors to the headlight? Is the control module throwing any codes?

The warning light is constantly on. I gave the electrical connectors a quick look, but everything seemed seated properly. When you had this problem, did your low beams also point way too low?

Yes, that's exactly what happened to mine! The low beams were completely out of whack. I'd advise you to skip any further DIY attempts and head straight to a workshop. It's likely a recalibration issue after replacing the faulty part. Why risk making it worse?

Took it to the workshop. It was a defective servomotor in the headlight, as I thought. They replaced it, and after recalibrating the auto-leveling system, it's working again. Cost me 1040€. Thanks for your help!
