Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't tried the spare car key yet. Is it possible that a low key battery would also cause error messages in the car's error memory? I thought that was odd.

Yes, the low key battery can definitely cause error messages. When the signal is weak, the car might not recognize the key properly, triggering those errors. If the spare car key doesn't resolve the issue, it might be best to have it checked at a workshop, just in case.

I replaced the key fob battery myself for 37€. Everything is working as expected now. Thanks for the help.

I had a similar issue with my Kamiq. The keyless entry stopped working, and the dashboard showed the 'key battery low' warning. Have you tried using the spare car key to see if that works? It could help determine if the problem is indeed with the fob battery.
