Skoda Kamiq running rich

I'm pulling my hair out here. My 2019 Skoda Kamiq (gasoline engine) is running way too rich. I'm talking reduced engine power, check engine light screaming at me, rough idle, guzzling fuel like it's going out of style, and jerking like crazy when I try to accelerate. I'm suspecting the fuel injectors are toast. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like a rich mixture issue. I had similar symptoms – reduced power, rough running, check engine light – with my old Peugeot. Turned out to be a faulty oxygen sensor messing with the air-fuel ratio. Have you checked that?

Interesting. The oxygen sensor... wouldn't that throw a specific code? I thought a bad oxygen sensor would give a different reading than just 'running rich'. How did you diagnose it on your Peugeot?

Yeah, it did throw a code, but initially, it was intermittent and kinda vague. The garage guys checked the air-fuel ratio and saw it was consistently off. Given your mileage and symptoms, plus the rich mixture, the injectors are a strong possibility, but without proper diagnostics, you're just guessing. It's best to get it properly diagnosed at a workshop.

You were spot on. I took it to the shop, and after diagnostics, they confirmed it: faulty fuel injectors. I had them replaced, and now she's running like new. Cost me 515€, but it was totally worth it. Thanks for the insight.
