Skoda Kamiq Sun Blind Issue

My 2020 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine has developed a fault with the sun blind. It's completely stopped retracting and extending, just stuck in one position. The error memory is showing a fault, likely the motor. Has anyone else had this issue? Trying to figure out if it's a common problem before I commit to a repair. Need my car blind for sun protection!

Oh man, sun blinds! Had a similar thing with my Kamiq. Is it stuck solid? I was getting really annoyed with the lack of sun protection. Did you try giving it a little nudge? I know it sounds dumb, but sometimes that works. What kind of error code are you seeing?

Yeah, it's completely stuck. A nudge didn't do anything. What was the fix for yours? Was it definitely the motor? The error code is pointing that way, but you know how it is – could be something else.

Yep, mine was completely jammed too. The nudge was a one-in-a-million shot! Sounds like it's almost certainly the motor, especially with the error code. I ended up just taking it to a workshop. Saved myself the headache. Good luck with the car sunshade repair!

Thanks for the confirmation. Dropped it off at the workshop and they've quoted 330€ for the sun blind motor replacement. Bit steep, but at least it'll be sorted and I'll have my UV protection back.
