Skoda Karoq ABS and Traction Control Problems

My 2023 Skoda Karoq diesel is playing up. Mileage is pushing 200000km. ABS lamp's lit, traction control's having a moment, and the whole ABS system is throwing a tantrum. Suspect it's a defective control unit. Anyone else had this?

Sounds like a speed sensor issue. I had something similar with my Karoq. ABS and traction control going bonkers. Kept getting errors on the dashboard. Does the malfunction happen all the time, or just intermittently?

Interesting. Was yours throwing up the ABS lamp as well? And was it definitely the speed sensor or something else connected to the transmission? I'm trying to narrow down the input before taking it in.

Yep, ABS lamp was on constantly. My mechanic said it was the control unit itself, fried internally. It gets its input from the wheel speed sensors, but the unit wasn't processing it correctly. They reckoned it was sending dodgy signals to the transmission and causing the ABS to freak out. I'd get it checked out by a workshop. They can properly diagnose it.

Cheers for the help. Turns out you were spot on. Affected control unit was buggered. Had to get it replaced. Cost me about 1000€ all in. Back on the road now though.
