Skoda Karoq Air Conditioning Problem

Help! My 2020 Skoda Karoq with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches. The air conditioning suddenly stopped cooling. The error memory shows a fault with the rear ventilation flap. Could a defective cable or plug connection really cause the whole car HVAC system to fail like this? The automatic climate is going crazy!

I had a similar issue with my Karoq's air conditioning. Is the error message specifically pointing to a flap actuator? Sometimes a faulty connection can cause these kinds of issues. Have you checked the relevant fuses?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, the error memory specifically mentions the rear ventilation flap. Where exactly would I find the flap actuator and the relevant plug connection? Is it something I could check myself without special tools?

The flap actuator is buried pretty deep, and honestly, accessing the plug connection can be tricky without the right tools. Given the error code points directly to the rear ventilation flap, and you've already checked the basics, I would recommend having a workshop take a look. It's likely a quick fix, but fiddling with the air distribution system yourself might cause further issues.

It was indeed the rear ventilation flap actuator. The cable was loose. 95€ later and the air conditioning is working perfectly again. Thanks for the help!
