Skoda Karoq Automatic Temperature Control Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Skoda Karoq experienced an issue with its automatic temperature control system, which stopped functioning and stored an error, preventing the AC from switching on. The suspected causes included a faulty interior temperature sensor or a defective cable or plug connection. After using sensor diagnostics and consulting a workshop, the problem was identified as a faulty temperature sensor cable, which was repaired, restoring the climate control system to normal operation.

Sensor diagnostics, got it. Anything specific I should look for besides the stored error?

The OBD2 scanner should show the exact sensor that's faulty. It pointed directly to the interior temperature sensor in my case. Since you suspect the cable, it’s best to have it checked at a workshop.

It was the temperature sensor cable after all. The workshop confirmed, fixed it, and billed me 95€. Climate control is back to normal. Thanks for the help.

I had similar climate control issues with my old Volvo. The temperature reading was erratic. Have you checked the sensor diagnostics using an OBD2 scanner? It might give you a more specific error code.
