Skoda Karoq Blower Motor Issue

I am experiencing a malfunction with my 2020 Skoda Karoq, gasoline engine. The blower motor is non-operational. Diagnostic scan indicates a fault with the AUC sensor – the air conditioning sensor. Based on my understanding, a likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and can offer guidance before I proceed with component replacement?

I had a similar issue with my Karoq. The blower wouldn't operate, and diagnostics pointed to a fault with the HVAC sensor. It is often related to the air quality sensor, because they are connected. Have you checked the wiring and connections to the odor sensor? A loose or corroded connector can cause these symptoms. It might be worth investigating before replacing the entire sensor.

When you mention checking the wiring and connections, are you referring specifically to the plug connection at the AUC sensor itself, or are there other points in the circuit I should inspect?

Yes, I was referring to the plug connection at the AUC sensor. In my case, that was indeed the problem. However, while you're inspecting, it would be prudent to examine the wiring harness in that immediate vicinity for any signs of damage or chafing. If the problem persists, a visit to a qualified workshop is probably unavoidable to rule out more complex issues with the climate control system.

The Skoda workshop found a defective plug connection on the AUC sensor, as you suggested. Repair cost was 95€. Climate control is working again. Your insights were invaluable.
