Skoda Karoq multifunction steering wheel error

My 2019 Skoda Karoq with a diesel engine is throwing a multifunction steering wheel error. The steering wheel controls are dead, and the error is stored in the error memory. I suspect it might be a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds like a connectivity problem. I had something similar with my Karoq. Check the steering column control module, maybe there's a loose connection. Is the malfunction indicator on?

Thanks for the quick reply. Where exactly is the steering column control module located? And what do you mean by malfunction indicator, is that the same as a sensor issue?

The control module is directly on the steering column, under the steering wheel trim. The malfunction indicator is basically a warning light indicating a general sensor issue. If you're not comfortable taking the steering wheel apart, I'd suggest going to a workshop.

Took it to the workshop. It was a defective cable connection in the steering wheel, like I thought. They fixed it for 95€. Thanks for the help.
