Skoda Karoq reduced engine power

Sounds familiar. I had a similar engine issue with my Skoda, not a Karoq though. Reduced power and the dashboard light were on. Did you use a car diagnostic tool or scan tool to read the error?

I haven't used any scan tool myself. What did you do when you had the issue?

Well, I initially tried to find the issue myself. I used an auto scanner to check the fault codes. Eventually, I had to go to a workshop. Could it be related to any modifications made to the engine, perhaps faulty chip tuning by third-party providers? Does the dashboard light still appear?

Thanks for the help. It turned out to be a faulty chip tuning, like you said. Had it removed and the error cleared. Cost me 180€, but at least the car runs properly again.
