Skoda Karoq TPMS Issue

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2018 Skoda Karoq gasoline engine. The tire pressure is repeatedly indicated as being too low, triggering an error message. Also, an error is stored in the error memory. I suspect a sensor fault, possibly due to an empty sensor battery. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? I'm trying to gauge the potential repair costs associated with a TPMS issue like this.

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar TPMS issue with my Karoq. Kept getting low tire warnings, even though the tire pressure was fine. Did you check the air valve?

Thanks for the quick reply! What exactly do you mean by checking the air valve? I'm not that technically skilled, I'm afraid.

Sorry, I meant have you physically inspected the tires and air valve for any obvious damage or leaks? In my case, the sensors themselves were the problem. Eventually, I had to take it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a sensor issue. They said the batteries in the sensors often die after a few years. It's best to get it checked out properly, as driving around with a faulty TPMS isn't ideal.

It was the tire pressure sensors. Replaced all four. Cost 280€ at the workshop, but the error message is gone. Thanks for the help!
