Skoda Karoq transmission control issue

My 2017 Skoda Karoq with a gasoline engine is giving me trouble. With only 24586 km on the clock, the gearbox slips and shifts uncleanly, and I get grinding noises when shifting. The paddle shifters are unresponsive and it's now in emergency mode. Suspect a defective transmission control. Anyone had similar transmission control issues?

I have a Skoda Octavia and experienced similar gearbox issues. My paddle shifters were unresponsive too. Have you checked for any error codes?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, there is an error stored in the error memory. Did your car go into emergency mode as well?

Yes, it did go into emergency mode. I recommend taking it to the workshop for transmission repair. Sounds like the transmission control unit is the culprit.

Thanks for that information. It's booked in with the garage. Transmission diagnosis confirmed a defective transmission control unit. Cost to repair is around 1000€. They are replacing the automotive ECU. Hopefully that sorts it.
