Thanks for the quick reply. You mentioned checking the connections to the alarm controller. Can you give me more detail on where that is, or what to look for in terms of corrosion?

Since you know about the potential 95€ repair cost, maybe a visit to a workshop that can diagnose automotive alarm systems would be best. You've probably found the cause, so they should be able to confirm and fix it fast.

Diagnosis was spot on. The workshop found a faulty connector. The siren communication fault is gone, and the alarm system works now. Total cost was 95€, just as expected. Thanks for the help.

A siren communication fault on a Kodiaq with that many kilometers? Sounds annoying. Did you check the basic connections to the alarm controller? A loose or corroded connector can cause signal problems. Is the error always there or does it come and go?
