Skoda Kodiaq automatic gearbox issues

Treacle is a good analogy! Exactly how it feels sometimes. Did yours also throw up any errors? And was it definitely the control module causing all the drama?

Yep, mine was throwing errors left, right, and center. And yeah, the control module was the culprit. The workshop said it's a common issue. Get it to a trusted shop for transmission diagnosis. They'll probably need to replace the control module, which means a transmission repair as well. Don't delay, could cause further damage!

Massive thanks for the help! Turns out you were spot on. Dropped it off at the workshop, and after a transmission diagnosis, they confirmed the transmission control unit was indeed defective. New control module and transmission repair later, plus a 1000€ dent in my wallet, my Kodiaq is running smoothly again. Now shifting like butter!

Sounds suspiciously like the issue I had with my Skoda Octavia. Gearbox acting all funky, especially with the paddle shifters. Does it feel a bit like driving through treacle sometimes? Almost like the car computer is having a hard time deciding which gear to pick? I'd get a transmission diagnosis done pronto.
