Skoda Kodiaq Battery Issues
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Kodiaq 2021 diesel with 192,957 km is experiencing weak starts and flickering lights, potentially due to a weak battery. The issue may be caused by a faulty battery voltage sensor, which affects the battery's charging process. It is suggested to use vehicle diagnostics to check the battery voltage and consider replacing the sensor. After confirming the sensor was faulty, replacing it resolved the problem.

Vehicle diagnostics? Where do I check that? And how would a voltage sensor cause all this? I thought the battery health was just about the battery itself.

Vehicle diagnostics through an OBD reader, you can get cheap ones online. The voltage sensor tells the car how much to charge the battery. If it's faulty, it might not be charging it properly, leading to low battery voltage and those symptoms. I ended up having mine replaced, and it solved the problem, so I would suggest that you get it checked out by a workshop.

Thanks for the help! The workshop confirmed the battery sensor was faulty. The repair cost 315€. Hopefully, this fixes the issue.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Kodiaq weak starts, lights flickering at idle. Have you checked the battery voltage with vehicle diagnostics? Could be a faulty voltage sensor messing with the battery charge.
