Skoda Kodiaq Central Locking Problems

I'm really frustrated! My 2023 Skoda Kodiaq with a gasoline engine is having central locking issues. The doors won't lock or unlock, and the error memory has stored a fault. I've read it's likely a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else had this?

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my old Vauxhall Astra a few years back. The central locking would randomly fail, and the car alarm would go off for no reason. Does the problem happen intermittently, or is it completely dead? Have you checked the fuses?

Interesting. The locking mechanism is completely dead on all doors. The remote locking does nothing. Where exactly did you find the problem with your Astra?

On the Astra, it turned out to be a corroded connector in the door loom, specifically the one going to the locking mechanism. The mechanic said it's a common issue. Given the error memory is storing a fault and you suspect a connection problem, I'd advise getting it checked by a professional. It could be a simple fix, as the estimated 95€ suggests, but messing with the security system yourself might cause more problems.

Took it to the shop, and you were right. They found a defective plug connection, and the repair cost exactly 95€. Central locking is working perfectly now. Thanks a million for your help!
