Skoda Kodiaq Coolant Loss Issue

I am experiencing an issue with my 2017 Skoda Kodiaq diesel. The coolant level is consistently too low. The check engine light illuminates, and an error is stored. I have visually inspected the radiator hoses and the cooling fan appears to be functioning correctly. I have not noticed any visible signs of a head gasket issue. Could this be a simple issue with the coolant reservoir, or am I facing a more complex problem?

Coolant low? I had something similar with my Kodiaq. Check the coolant reservoir first. Is it actually empty or just near the minimum line? Is the engine overheating?

The reservoir is indeed near the minimum. The engine temperature seems normal, no overheating. Where exactly did you experience the issue, and was the check engine light also on?

Yes, the light was on. For me the garage found a loose wire. It was like a bad connection on a lamp, if you know what I mean. I would suggest you take it to a shop to check it out. Maybe it's the same for you.

I took it to a certified workshop and they identified a defective cable/plug connection. The repair cost was 95€. All is well now.
