Skoda Kodiaq Diesel engine issues

I am experiencing some issues with my 2022 Skoda Kodiaq diesel. The check engine light is on, and the car is jerking when accelerating. I also hear a whistling noise and a loud hissing when accelerating. Sometimes the engine even stalls at idle. Fuel consumption seems higher and engine power is reduced. Could a defective boost pressure sensor be the cause?

Summary of the thread

The 2022 Skoda Kodiaq diesel was experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, jerking during acceleration, a whistling noise, and engine stalling at idle. These symptoms suggested a potential boost leak or a defective boost pressure sensor. The problem was identified as a faulty boost pressure sensor cable, which was confirmed and repaired by a workshop, resolving the issues.

Sounds like a boost leak. I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia. Check engine light, jerking, whistling noise, reduced power... I chased vacuum leaks for weeks. Pay close attention to all air intake connections, especially after the turbocharger. Is the hissing loud? Does it change with engine RPM?

The hissing is quite loud when accelerating, yes. It seems to get louder with higher RPMs. Where exactly should I be looking for these air intake connections? Any specific areas prone to failure?

Given the increased hissing with RPM, I would suspect a post-turbo system issue. If it is the same like in my Octavia, check the hoses and clamps connecting the turbocharger to the intercooler and from the intercooler to the throttle body. Also, it might be a defective cable or plug connection to the boost pressure sensor. But honestly, with those symptoms, it is best to get it to a workshop; a damaged turbo would be far more costly.

It was the boost pressure sensor cable. The workshop confirmed the boost leak and replaced the connector for 95€. The car runs perfectly now. Thanks for the advice.
