Skoda Kodiaq Engine Misfires
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Skoda Kodiaq with a gasoline engine and high mileage is experiencing rough running, a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, and power loss, with error codes indicating combustion misfires. The issue persists despite replacing the spark plugs, suggesting potential problems with the injection valve or fuel pump. A similar case was resolved by diagnosing and replacing a defective injector, which was confirmed as the cause and subsequently fixed.

Throttle response was a bit sluggish, yes! How did you figure out it was the injectors? Did you also have jerking when accelerating? Was it expensive to fix?

Yep, the jerking acceleration sounds exactly like what I experienced. Honestly, I didn't figure it out myself. After checking the spark plugs, I took it straight to a workshop. They ran some diagnostics and pinpointed it to a defective injector. It's a common issue, apparently. I would definitely get it checked, hopefully it is not too expensive.

Took the Kodiaq to the workshop, and you were right! It was a faulty injector. Fixed now, cost 515€. Thanks for the help!

Combustion misfires? Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Kodiaq. Rough idling, check engine light flashing… it was a nightmare. Did you notice any difference in throttle response?
