Skoda Kodiaq Sun Blind Failure

I'm a bit frustrated. The sun blind on my 2018 Skoda Kodiaq with a gasoline engine is completely busted! It just stopped working, won't retract or extend, just stuck in one position. Plus, there's an error stored in the error memory. Sounds like the motor is defective, right? Anyone else had issues with their car sunshade? This sunshade repair is going to be a pain. The sun visor is basically useless now, and it's messing with the car interior.

I had a similar problem with my Kodiaq. The sun blind got stuck and wouldn't move. Does it make any noise when you try to operate it? Did you check the fuse?

It does make a faint whirring sound, so power is getting to it, I think. Which fuse should I be checking specifically? Where is it located?

The whirring sound definitely points to a motor issue. I skipped the fuse check since I had the same noise. My suspicion is that the motor is defective. I recommend taking it to a workshop for diagnosis and repair. It's likely going to need a new sun blind motor.

Thanks for the help. I took it to the shop and you were spot on, the sun visor motor was shot. They replaced it, cost me around 330€. Ouch, but at least the car interior is back to normal and that annoying error message is gone!
