Skoda Kodiaq turn signal malfunction

Alright, I'm officially stumped. My 2018 Skoda Kodiaq with a Gasoline engine and only 37447 km on the clock is throwing a weird turn signal error. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, plus the error memory shows a fault in the lighting. I'm suspecting an electrical fault, maybe a bad connection, but I'm not sure where to even start looking. Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm guessing it's a defective cable or plug connection.

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia, though I can't remember the exact year. Got the same error message in the speedometer and everything. Did you check the flasher relay? It's a common culprit for automotive lighting problems. Also, have you tried a simple bulb replacement to rule that out?

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the flasher relay located? And would a faulty relay always trigger an error message, or could it be something else in the turn signal circuit causing the problem?

I'm not 100% certain on the Kodiaq, but on my Octavia, the relay was near the fuse box under the steering wheel. A faulty relay can trigger the error message, but honestly, without proper diagnostics, it's hard to say for sure if it's the only issue. Given that you suspect a bad connection and the error memory is showing a lighting fault, it might be worth having a workshop take a look. Could save you a lot of headache in the long run.

Took it to the workshop and you were spot on! They found a defective plug connection on the turn signal lamp. Cost me 95€ to fix. Thanks a million for your help!
