Skoda Kodiaq Washer Problem

Okay, so I'm officially pulling my hair out! My 2023 Skoda Kodiaq, gasoline engine, with 85195 km on the clock, is acting up. The windshield washer has completely stopped working. I noticed the headlight washers weren't popping up either, which is weird. I'm guessing it's all connected, but I haven't a clue where to start. Could this be a simple clog, or is it more likely a bigger fault? Any ideas before I get fleeced by the garage?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar thing happen with my Kodiaq. My windshield washer stopped working completely, and it turned out to be a problem with the headlight washer system too. Check the cable connections to the pump and the relay. A friend told me it could be a clog in the hose, but that wasn't it for me. It might be the same for you.

Connections to the pump and relay, huh? Where exactly are those located? And what do you mean by corroded connector? Is that easy to spot? I'm not exactly a mechanic, you know, just trying to avoid a huge bill if it's something simple.

Yeah, that's right. The pump is usually near the washer fluid reservoir, and the relay is in the fuse box (check your manual for the exact location). The mechanic said the connector was green with corrosion – pretty obvious once you see it. I'd still recommend taking it to a workshop since you're not familiar with electronics. My mechanic found a defective cable connection of the pump, and I don't recommend poking around if you don't know what you're doing. It could be a serious malfunction.

You were spot on! Took it to the shop this morning. They said it was a corroded connector for the headlight washer pump, just like you thought. Cost me 165€ to get it sorted, but at least the windshield washer is working again. Thanks a million for your help!
